A Welcome Challenge

One of our US clients needed 2,000 vials of an EU marketed oncology medication before the close of the fiscal year. Our challenge was to source, successfully import, and deliver the medication in less than 2 weeks. We worked with our broker and the FDA to clear the drug the same day it arrived in the United States. On the day of delivery, our staff returned to work late that night to receive the medication at our warehouse so that we could quickly check the product and make sure it shipped out early the next day. We delivered with 2 days to spare. Our client saved almost $1 million versus the price of the same product marketed in the US.

An Unusual Request

One of our clients had an unusual request: “Can you source pre-packaged nail files?” 

We knew that sourcing their request would require some creative improvisation. Our immediate answer was: “Of course we can.” We always enjoy an opportunity to think creatively. We worked directly with a national supplier of nail files to successfully deliver the product as requested, on time. When the order was finished we had saved our client 50% versus the retail price.

Large Volume, Limited Availability

Sourcing hard-to-find medications requires an extensive network of pharmaceutical suppliers and manufacturers. One of our clients needed a medication in large quantities that was limited in availability throughout Europe to finish their clinical study. We worked within our global network, utilizing every available resource to procure their medication. With time and dedication, we were able to assemble their order through our suppliers in the UK, Germany, Poland, and the Netherlands. We then coordinated the cold chain delivery of the product to our client’s packager in the UK—they were able to continue the study on schedule, with a replenished supply of the medication they needed.
